A brief description of the location

Abington Pigotts is a very small picturesque village comprising about 50 properties.  It is situated about 5 miles from Royston and 15 miles from Cambridge.  Nearby are the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, the Shuttleworth Collection and the Swiss Gardens at Biggleswade.

It is also about 4 miles from the National Trust property Wimpole Hall which is open throughout the year.

The village has a public house 'The Pig & Abbot' which serves a good range of real ales and has a comprehensive food menu. Here is a link to their website.  The Pig and Abbot

Rail links to London and Cambridge are accessible from Royston Station.

Swifts Cottage sits in the middle of the village and is the only pink thatched residence.
